Nursology Forums Are Coming in 2027!

The newly formatted Nursology Forums, which will take the place of the former Virtual Theory Week, will begin in January 2027. The schedule for the monthly Forums from January through June 2027 is now available here. Check out the topics, dates, and times—and plan to join us!

A call for proposals for the July–December 2027 Forums will be announced in February 2027.

The Nursology Forums will focus on burning questions about nursing knowledge and its application in practice, education, research, and health care policy. Each Forum will be hosted by a nurse scholar who will introduce ideas and questions designed to spark conversation, reflection, and debate.

Rather than conventional presentations, these Forums are designed for engagement and exchange. Opening presentations will range from 10 to 30 minutes, with shorter presentations especially intended to provoke creative thinking and leave plenty of time for discussion. The Forums will welcome thoughtful controversy and differing perspectives while seeking shared insights that contribute to the ongoing development of our discipline.

Watch this blog for details about each upcoming Forum. Plan to participate—and start thinking about a burning question you might bring to a future Forum as a host!
